Notice is hereby given that the Municipal Officers of the Town of Newcastle will hold a public hearing on Monday, October 16, 2017 at 7:00 PM at the Newcastle Town Office to hear public comment on the November 7, 2017 Special Town Meeting Referendum ballot. WARRANT FOR SPECIAL TOWN MEETING

Tuesday, November 7, 2017

To Mark Doe, of Newcastle, in the County of Lincoln and the State of Maine:

Greetings:

In the name of the State of Maine, you are hereby required to notify and warn the Inhabitants of the Town of Newcastle in said county and state, qualified by law to vote in town affairs, to meet at the Newcastle Municipal Fire Station in said Town on Tuesday, the 7th day of November 2017, then and there to act upon Articles 1 through 4. The polls for voting on Articles 2, 3 and 4 shall open at 8:00 AM and will close at 8:00 PM.

ARTICLE 1: To choose a moderator by written ballot to preside at said meeting.

 ARTICLE 2:To see if the Town will vote to enact an ordinance entitled “November 2017 amendments to the Town of Newcastle Purchasing and Bidding Ordinance.”

ARTICLE 3:To see if the Town will vote to enact an ordinance entitled “November 2017 amendments to the Newcastle Transient Sellers and Lunch Wagons Ordinance.”
