COVID-19 Information UPDATED March 23, 2020

All town buildings, including the Town Office and Fire Station, will be closed to the public indefinitely, beginning Monday, March 16th.

Town employees will respond to emails and voicemails on a regular basis for questions and concerns throughout the week. However, staff will be largely working from home and infrequently working in the office.

The State of Maine is waiving all enforcement of expired vehicle registrations through the emergency period. However, a large number of town office services from vehicle re-registrations to boat licensing to burning permits and more are available through our website: NewcastleMaine.us.

If you are unsure how to access these services or are under the weather and unable to complete your request remotely, please feel free to call or email the office and we’ll be glad to help.

While we urge all residents to continue using good hygiene practices such as frequent hand-washing, coughing/sneezing into elbows, and provide others plenty of space; we need to take all necessary steps we can to avoid further infection to our residents and our employees.
